London - British customs officials yesterday discovered 16 illegal immigrants hiding in a lorry loaded with frozen chips at the southern port of Dover, the Home Office said.
The 16 men - 15 from Sri Lanka and one from Bangladesh - had squeezed into a space just 2 ft high between the base of the truck and the refrigerated compartment.
