A man in his mid-twenties was killed last night when his car crashed and went on fire at Ballybroman, Ardfert on the Ardfert to Abbeydorney road.
The incident happened at 8.30pm and the man was the sole occupant of the car.
His body has been removed to Tralee General Hospital where a post mortem examination will be carried out.
The road at the scene of the crash is closed and garda forensic collision investigators will carry out an examination of the area later this morning.
