An Irish immigrant who was shot and critically injured during a dispute in a New York bar at the weekend died of his injuries yesterday. A New York police department spokesman said the victim, Mr Francis O'Loughlin, from Kilkenny, was shot once in the head in the bathroom of the Mad Ass Tavern in the Sunnyside section of Queens where he was working.
