Israeli soldiers shot dead a 20-year-old Palestinian near the Karni border crossing in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian hospital sources said.
They said Mohammed Abu Awn was shot in the chest while sitting near protesters hurling rocks at Israeli soldiers guarding the road leading to the Jewish settlement of Netzarim.
Palestinian hospital sources said Israeli troops shot and wounded three Palestinians in a separate incident near Karni today.
The death brings the death toll in almost six months of violence to least 347 Palestinians, 65 Israelis and 13 Israeli Arabs.
