The leaders of the two main Opposition parties are to meet the Rev Ian Paisley's Democratic Unionist Party in Belfast tomorrow.
Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny and Labour leader Pat Rabbitte will also meet other Northern Ireland Assembly parties and PSNI Chief Constable Sir Hugh Orde.
Mr Kenny and Mr Rabbitte's parties are proposing to form an alternative coalition government if they win next year's general election.
This will be their first joint visit to Northern Ireland.
