DIYARBAKIR - Turkish security forces have killed 46 Kurdish rebels in the last two days in clashes in eastern Turkey, the emergency rule governor's office said yesterday.

The statement said that 33 guerillas of the separatist Kurdistun Workers Party (PKK) were killed in the remote mountains of Tunceli province, with another 10 rebels killed in Batman province. Three others were killed in separate clashes in the provinces of Van and Siirt, the statement said.
