AdelaidE - Australia's Labor opposition leader yesterday pledged to heal racial divisions fuelled by the nationalist legislator, Ms Pauline Hanson, if Labor won a general election on October 3rd.
Mr Kim Beazley said Australians with non-white backgrounds had suffered over the past two years since Ms Hanson sparked a bitter race row when she said Australia was in danger of being swamped by Asians, and criticised Aboriginal welfare spending.
