London - British Prime Minister Mr Tony Blair yesterday urged his party to fight the coming general election on its record of economic success.

Mr Blair, addressing nearly 3,000 delegates at the end of Labour's spring conference in Glasgow, also warned against voter apathy - claiming the Tories had a "backdoor" strategy to foster cynicism among the public.
