Hundreds of artefacts from the world's oldest international rugby stadium will be sold online to the highest bidder over the next four days.
Lansdowne Road, which hosted its first game in 1878, will be flattened by the wrecking ball in coming weeks to make way for a planned €360 million arena in 2009.
Items up for auction include the President's seat, old-style turnstiles, stadium seats, signed jerseys and other assorted memorabilia.
The online sale opens to bids from 9am today and closes at 1pm on Monday. It is being run by UK firm Bache Treharne, which also handled the sale of items from Arsenal's Highbury stadium.
"Lansdowne holds some wonderful memories from its lifetime and this auction offers the chance to own a little piece of that," an IRFU spokesman said.
