Birmingham - The father of the murdered teenager, Stephen Lawrence, yesterday pleaded for racial harmony at the hearing into his son's death. Mr Neville Lawrence was given a standing ovation at Birmingham's International Convention Centre.

His comments bring to an end more than 60 days of evidence in the inquiry relating to the police investigation of Stephen's murder in 1993.
