A Belfast man now living in Scotland was charged yesterday in connection with the recent loyalist feud in the Shankill area.
Mr Samuel McCrory, aged 35, whose address was given as Stonecrop Place, Ayr, was accused of fighting and making an affray on the Shankill Road last August when a crowd attacked the Rex Bar during the feud between the UFF and the UVF.
He was remanded on bail until April 4th and was ordered in the meantime to report to police at Ayr twice a week.
Mr McCrory, who is pleading not guilty, was also told that in the event of his changing his address he must inform the RUC officer in charge of the case and, also the Ayr police.
He is the seventh person to be charged in connection with the incident outside the Rex Bar, in which shots were fired and a man was seriously assaulted.
