A man was in hospital yesterday after being attacked twice in paramilitary-style assaults in north Belfast.

A man was in hospital yesterday after being attacked twice in paramilitary-style assaults in north Belfast.

At about 1.30 a.m., four masked men entered a house in the predominately loyalist Ballyronan Park area in Rathcoole and assaulted the man, who sustained a swollen eye. He was told to leave Northern Ireland or be shot. An hour later, when the victim and his wife were walking in Ballyronan Park, they were confronted by three masked men, one of whom struck him with a handgun, fracturing his arm.
