Man charged after stabbings

London - A man was charged with two offences of attempted murder last night following a stabbing incident in which two boys were left seriously injured. Lancashire Police say the man, from Accrington, will appear before magistrates in Blackburn this morning. Paramedics found Adam Schofield (4) and his brother Daniel (6) in the upstairs bedroom of a house in Lodge Street, Accrington, with stab wounds to their throats after their mother, Ms Anita Pettifer, ran to a police station to raise the alarm.
