A 42-year-old man has been charged with the murder of William McClatchey whose dismembered body was found in east Belfast on Monday.

The man will appear at Belfast Magistrates court tomorrow.

Mr McClatchey's body was found in a wheelie bin in the Pottinger House apartment block in the Mount area on Monday evening.

The 34-year-old was from Taughmonagh area of south Belfast.

Police have so far withheld the results of a post mortem examination performed on the body for operational reasons.
