A man charged in connection with the suspected attempted murder of an unarmed police officer in London has no direct link to the shooting, a court in Belfast heard yesterday.
Jason Anpomah (20) was arrested in Belfast with a man aged 26 as part of the inquiry. The policeman was shot last July 15th as he chased three men. Mr Anpomah, of Dunluce Avenue, Belfast, is charged with assisting offenders and withholding information. He was remanded in custoday.
