A man is critically ill in hospital after being shot up to three times outside a house in Dublin.
The victim, aged in his 40s, was shot in the upper body by a gunman on the Oranmore Road in Ballyfermot at about 3.20pm.
Gardaí said the attacker, dressed in dark clothing, fled on a bicycle.
The victim was taken to St James's Hospital where gardaí said he is in a critical condition.
The scene of the shooting is sealed off for Garda examination.
