James Morrison (45), of Glenties Park, Finglas, Dublin, who pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to keeping 1,279,000 untaxed cigarettes on October 7th, 1997, in a north Dublin store, has been given a three-year suspended sentence by Judge Elizabeth Dunne.

Det Sgt Fergus Treanor, National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, said the cigarettes were found when gardai raided a premises at Jamestown Road, Poppintree, on October 7th, 1997.
