Heroin with an estimated street value of £250,000 was recovered by gardai from a house in Ballymun last night. A man in his late 40s was arrested under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act following the raid. He is being detained at Clontarf station and can be held up for seven days.

A woman detained following the seizure of £13,000 worth of heroin in Coolock yesterday was later released and a file is being prepared for the DPP. A man held in connection with the find was still being questioned last night.
