A man was killed in Northern Ireland today when he was struck by a taxi while walking home in the early hours.
The man, understood to be in his early 20s, was walking along the Clooney Road in Greysteel near Derry at 3am when he was hit by a minibus-type taxi.
A PSNI spokesman said it was not a hit-and-run and there were no reports of the driver or his passengers being injured.
Detectives investigating the accident appealed for anyone with information about the death to contact them.
