A man who attacked a drug dealer for supplying heroin to his 17-year-old sister has been given a suspended sentence and ordered to pay £100 to an inner city centre for drug addicts.

The man, John Murphy (20), an apprentice bricklayer, of Coultry Road, and his cousin Willie Thompson (21), a carpet fitter, of Druid Court, both in Ballymun, pleaded guilty at Dublin District Court to breach of the peace on December 3rd, 1997.
