Man unconscious after Dublin car hijacking

A man was taken to hospital in Dublin early this morning after his car was hijacked near the city centre.

A man was taken to hospital in Dublin early this morning after his car was hijacked near the city centre.

The incident happened at about 1 a.m. on the junction of Sean McDermott Street and Lower Gardiner Street.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, was found unconscious and taken to the Mater Hospital. He is still unconscious.

A Garda spokeswoman said they have not been able to identify him.
