A Norwegian man was arrested at Copenhagen's Kastrup airport with a gun hidden in his hand luggage, Danish police today.
The man, who was en route to Amsterdam yesterday, had hidden the weapon inside a rolled-up sleeping bag.
"Security guards discovered the weapon, a real one, when the Norwegian's bag went through the X-ray machine," an airport officer said.
He said the man, who is to appear in court today, must have been "extremely naive to think he could get the weapon through undetected".
