Two men wearing balaclavas used a hammer to smash through the window of a Volkswagen Golf at Benish Viewpoint car park in Newry early on Saturday.

They dragged the driver out and held a knife to his throat before stealing cash from him.

A woman in the front passenger seat was then pulled out and forced to the ground. Her handbag was stolen before the thieves drove off in the silver-coloured car.
