The Irish Farmers Journal has appointed Justin McCarthy as its next editor. He will be only the fourth person to hold the position in the newspaper’s 64-year history.
Mr McCarthy (35) from Co Down is chief livestock editor with the paper. He previously worked with Anglo Beef Processors and Teagasc, and was involved in a lengthy inquiry into standards in Brazilian beef production.
