Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf today warned India against any precipitous action following accusations Pakistan-based guerrilla groups were behind this week's attack on parliament in New Delhi.
"I condemn in the strongest terms terrorist acts in India," the general told Pakistan Television. "Pakistan is against terrorist action in any part of the world."
He added: "I'd like to warn (New Delhi) against any precipitous action by the Indian goverment against Pakistan. This would lead to very serious repercussions. It must not be done."
India called on Pakistan today to respond within days to a demand that it close down two Pakistan-based Kashmiri separatist groups it blames for a string of attacks culminating in Thursday's assault on parliament in which 12 people, including the five attackers, were killed.
