Pilot apologises before crashing

London - A trainee pilot on an unauthorised flight died yesterday after sending an apology by radio, said an amateur radio ham who was listening in. The man, in his 40s, completed a circuit with an instructor at Bournemouth, south English. He then took off alone and flew out to sea where he crashed.
