London - A British MP yesterday launched a bill to ban piped music from public places, saying it was currently an unavoidable "plague". The dangers of passive, or involuntary, listening "are only beginning to enter the realm of public awareness", the Conservative MP, Mr Robert Key, said. Its symptoms included raised blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and increased muscle tension, he said.
