Canberra - The Australian Prime Minister, Mr John Howard, is under fire over an address - not a contentious speech, but his choice of residence.

After his election in March 1996, Mr Howard chose to live in his home town of Sydney, in an official harbourside residence known as Kirribilli House. But concerned Canberra citizens have formed a committee to try to force Mr Howard to live in the capital in the traditional prime ministerial residence, the Lodge.
