Vatican City - Pope John Paul II yesterday resumed activities after a bout of flu. The Vatican said the 78-year-old Pontiff would resume his scheduled audiences. The Pope cut short his weekly address to pilgrims on Sunday, his first engagement after returning from a visit to Mexico and the US mid-west city of St Louis, saying he was feeling unwell. He told pilgrims he had "a bit of a cold". The Vatican announced on Monday that he had cancelled audiences.
