THE IRISH Anti-War Movement is holding an emergency protest today at the Egyptian embassy, Clyde Road, Dublin, to express solidarity with protesters in Cairo.

The protest is scheduled for 5pm. In a statement, the movement said it was clear that “the remnants of the hated Mubarak regime are clinging on to power and have once again shown their disdain for peaceful protesters’’.

It said that violence against civilians was “truly horrific and should be condemned by the Irish Government’’.
