Racing: Tipperary's meeting this evening and tomorrow's racing at Cork have both been abandoned due to waterlogging.

Tonight's meeting was originally intended to be a mixed card of flat and hurdle races but excessive rain had already forced officials to abandon the races on the level.

However, further rain has left the track unraceable and the decision to abandon the whole card was taken after an inspection at 8am.

"Following our inspection this morning we found the track to be unfit due to waterlogging," said Cliff Noone, Irish Turf Club press officer.

Cork, which was due to stage a seven race card commencing at 5.50pm, also fell foul of the weather as extensive rain in the region has left officials with no choice but to abandon.
