Michael Schumacher was today finally able to savour his latest grand prix triumph after learning younger brother Ralf is to return home.

After spending the night under precautionary observation in a city hospital, the Williams driver was today discharged and will be heading back to Salzburg this evening.

"After examination by medical staff this morning, he has been discharged and is flying home to Salzburg early this afternoon (local time)," Williams said in a statement.

"Ralf is well, but has a bruised back and strained back muscles. He will not be taking part in scheduled testing duties for the team due to commence on Wednesday in Jerez."

The 28-year-old could potentially miss the French Grand Prix at Magny Cours which takes place in 12 days time.
