The 30 scientists who will share the £2 million available under the Strategic Research Grants programme administered by Enterprise Ireland have been announced. All of the projects are detailed in the current issue of Technology Ireland. Projects to receive funding range from research into wearable computers to studies of new vaccines, a new type of microscope, new instruments to test for water pollution and advanced materials.
The awards are keenly contested and more than 200 people applied under the scheme this year.
