A search of the River Boyne in Drogheda started yesterday morning after a man was seen falling into it near the North Quay

A search of the River Boyne in Drogheda started yesterday morning after a man was seen falling into it near the North Quay. The man, believed to be in his 40s and from the area, was seen by a passerby, and gardai were alerted.

Members of the Drogheda River Rescue and the Boyne Fisherman's River Rescue were involved in the search. Gardai said no one had been reported missing.
