A temporary High Court order preventing Sligo Corporation from demolishing the heritage building known as the Harper Campbell Warehouse at Union Street, Sligo, has been continued until Monday.

The interim order was granted on Friday to Mr Nicholas Prins, a member of the national council of An Taisce and manager of Lissadell House and Estate. In an affidavit, he said that when he attended the site he was astonished to see that Sligo Corporation had proceeded to demolish portion of the warehouse.

The temporary order had been granted until yesterday.
