MADRID - A Spanish army officer was shot dead outside his Madrid home yesterday by a woman in an attack followed moments later by a bomb blast in a nearby shopping centre's car park which injured one person, emergency services said.
The Spanish authorities blamed the attacks on the Basque separatist organisation ETA.
