Renewed talks to resolve the dispute over pre-Christmas Sunday working at Dunnes Stores are expected to take place this week. On Sunday shop stewards of the principal union, Mandate, decided to ballot for strike action.

The three unions at Dunnes want the company to accept a Labour Court ruling that it pay double time to all staff who work the four Sundays before Christmas.
