Further talks are to take place on Tuesday between SIPTU and the Midlands Health Board to avert a threatened strike at Tullamore General Hospital over staff transfers. SIPTU has served strike notice for Thursday but in the meantime is holding a general meeting of members following a meeting with management yesterday.
