Two teenagers are recovering in the North today after paramilitary-style attacks last night.

In one incident a 19-year-old man received gunshot wounds to his legs during the attack which occurred in north Belfast last night.

The RUC said the victim had been abducted from the Whiterock Road by two men who drove him to Havana Walk where the shooting took place.

A second teenager is being treated in hospital after losing part of a finger and suffering a broken leg in a paramilitary-style attack in west Belfast.

The RUC said the 17-year-old was abducted from a house in Ballymurphy Road by a number of men last night, taken to open ground behind a social club at Whiterock Road and beaten.
