Dubai - An Italian tourist was shot and injured in Yemen in an apparent kidnap attempt by Yemeni tribesmen, a Western diplomat said yesterday.
"The man refused to stop the four-wheel-drive he was driving when five armed Yemenis blocked his way on Thursday. He was shot in the shoulder but he is in good condition," the diplomat said by telephone from Sanaa.
