Two arrested after armed robbery in Wexford

Two men in their 20s were arrested in Wexford town following an armed robbery on a building society this afternoon.

Two men in their 20s were arrested in Wexford town following an armed robbery on a building society this afternoon.

According to a Garda spokesman, an undisclosed sum of money was taken from the Irish Permanent branch at the town's Bullring by two men armed with a knife at 12.10 p.m.

The two men made their getaway in a white coloured car. They were later arrested at a flat in the town and weapons and the missing sum of money were covered.
