The PSNI has arrested a man and woman after the kidnap of a Co Down mother and her four-year-old child.
The victim and her son were taken hostage from their Killough home on Wednesday and held for 12 hours in a vacant home in south Belfast.
The woman’s partner, employed by a financial institution, was told to get the cash.
Police were contacted after the woman freed herself and her son later that evening. They had been held in the Ravenhill area and were unhurt.
