Two dead horses were dumped yards from the British Labour Party's conference in Brighton today.
The animals were dumped less than half an hour before pro-hunting campaigners were due to begin a rally.
The carcasses were left in front of Old Stein in the centre of the town shortly after 11.00 a.m. Police are at the scene and the animal has been covered with plastic sheeting.
A police spokeswoman said officers were working to determine who was responsible.
