Two face arson charges over house blaze in Bangor

Two men were charged with arson tonight, following an early-morning fire in a seaside resort.

Two men were charged with arson tonight, following an early-morning fire in a seaside resort.

Police confirmed the men would appear before magistrates later this morning over the fire at the house in Dufferin Avenue, Bangor, County Down.

Another man was rescued from the blazing flat by police after the alarm was raised.

The men were expected to appear before North Down magistrates tomorrow charged with arson with intent to endanger life, aggravated burglary and burglary.

A woman questioned about the blaze was released pending further inquires.
