Two men injured in paramilitary assaults in Antrim

A 20-year-old man has been shot in the leg in north Belfast in what police describe as a paramilitary assault.

A 20-year-old man has been shot in the leg in north Belfast in what police describe as a paramilitary assault.

The incident happened at around 8 p.m. last night in the Butler Walk area of the city.

The victim is understood to have sustained a gunshot wound in the leg before begin conveyed to hospital.

In a separate incident, another 20-year-old man was injured in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim. He also received a gunshot wound to the leg and was brought to hospital.
