Moscow - Moldova's new communist president, Mr Vladimir Voronin (59), compared his country to Cuba yesterday saying it would resist Europe in the same way the government of Fidel Castro has resisted the US, the Interfax news agency reported.
"With the help of progressive forces around the world, we will resist until the end, as Cuba resists amid the imperialist predators," he told the fourth congress of Moldova's Communist party.
