Gardai in Co Roscommon are investigating an armed raid which took place at Frenchpark, Co Roscommon during the early hours.
The incident occurred at Corskeagh, Frenchpark at 2.45 a.m. when a woman was returning to her home with the night's takings from a local night club.
As she was getting out of her car, two men approached her. Both were wearing balaclavas and one was carrying a firearm. They took the bag of money from her and left the scene.
No shots were fired. Gardai at Boyle are investigating the incident.
