ESB International has won a £1 million contract in Moscow to assist in the development of the Russian power sector. During the project, ESBI will provide assistance to the main Russian energy utilities and also to academic institutes and universities there.
The contract starts in January and is to run for two years. ESBI's involvement will be in co operation with Greek and Danish partners and will be funded under the EU TACIS programme. A subsidiary of the ESB, the group currently employs 700 people and has annual sales of £70 million.
