Madam, - Aidan O'Carroll (September 12th) bemoans the fact that he might have to subsidise a tax break for the parents of young children.
Fair enough. Most parents willingly make the necessary sacrifices to provide a good upbringing for their children, and I for one, do not anticipate any significant tax breaks from the Government.
However, I trust he will make sufficient provision for his future pension needs and will not expect other people's children to support him when they reach the workforce. - Yours, etc,
