Sir, - It was interesting (and reassuring?) to read that the Chief-of-Staff of the Irish Defence Forces said that he is "satisfied that the Defence Forces were equipped to deal with nuclear, biological and chemical attacks" (The Irish Times, October 10th).
Leaders in the US and UK military have admitted they would be unable to deal with such attacks effectively. - Yours, etc.,
